Looking for a cosy, relaxed yet romantic destination for your Valentine’s Day meal this year? How about some candlelit cosy neighbourhood dining in your local area that won’t cost a fortune and will give you both the opportunity to try something new together in a cosy environment? Now that’s real romance!
Here at Filmore & Union, evening dining is all about hearty portions of delicious food using an eclectic mix of wellness-inspired ingredients that will leave you feeling energised rather than sluggish. With vegan options, as well as fish and meat dishes and the majority of the valentine’s menu being gluten-free, there is something for everyone – even your dog is welcome!
Our development chefs have been working hard to create a menu that is wholesome, delicious and perfect for a romantic, but relaxed night. The three-course menu for £24.95 comprises of a choice of delicious starters including coconut milk corn chowder with blackened corn & Aleppo oil, and Gravadlax with dill cream cheese, celeriac remoulade, grapefruit and blue radish. Hearty mains including Rib eye steak with kale and hemp chimichurri sauce, lemon broccoli, artichoke & white bean mash (£4 SUPPLEMENT), and a vegan option of Tofu shiitake dumplings with savoury granola & gochujang miso sauce. The dessert sharing board gives the opportunity to try different flavour combinations together and creates a great talking point to finish off your meal. It includes honey roasted plums with rose Greek yoghurt, warm chocolate brownie and vegan lemon cheesecake. Paired with our extensive drinks menu including fizz, white and red wine, beer (including craft ale and gluten free lager) and our beautifully crafted cocktails full of fresh ingredients, you’re in for a taste sensation!
Founder Adele Ashley says: “People who are used to visiting our restaurants during the day don’t realise how different they are in the evening when we light the candles and bring out the cocktail menu. Our cosy interiors make the perfect backdrop for a relaxed evening out with the quality of food you’d find in a posh restaurant but a much more chilled out vibe.”
“If your partner happens to be vegan, gluten free or has other special dietary requirements then we’re the perfect ‘date night’ destination because they can enjoy a delicious meal without having to compromise on taste or satisfaction. But we’re also not off-putting for those with big appetites who like to try everything.”
