Filmore & Union collaborating with Trekstock

Filmore & Union is proud to announce the launch of a partnership with cancer charity Trekstock!

Trekstock are a national cancer charity, which provides aid to young adults suffering through and beyond the challenges of the condition, of which there are over 100,000 in the UK at present.

Every single year 11,000 young adults are diagnosed with cancer in the UK. Younger adults often find it harder to talk about their condition and have previously had fewer support systems available to them compared to other demographics diagnosed. However, this is no longer the case, as Trekstock are working tirelessly to transform the way that cancer and post-cancer support is provided to young people between the ages of 25-39, giving them a voice and the confidence to talk about their condition.

Trekstock was set up 5 years ago when its founder Sophie decided to go on a trek to raise money for a close friend suffering with cancer. From here Sophie decided she wanted to set up a charity which focused on researching and meeting the needs of those young people who have survived cancer and providing them with support – and this is exactly what she has managed to achieve!

Providing support to over 100,000 people from such different socio-economic backgrounds is a huge challenge and Trekstock require a great deal of financial support - which is where Filmore are trying to help! We are always looking at ways to support good causes and so we are delighted to have launched a partnership with them.

What we’re doing to help

As of the beginning of January Filmore & Union have been donating 10p from EVERY sale of our most popular juice the Raw Energy Juice to Trekstock.

The Raw Energy Juice, which is our best selling juice is made with apple, spinach, cucumber, broccoli, lemon and ginger. It’s a vibrant green juice which is rich in Vitamins A, B-6, E and P, boosts energy levels and cleanses the body.  It’s a great juice to have if you are feeling you need a bit of a healthy kick start – so no wonder it’s our most popular!

Furthermore we are planning on hosting a series of fundraising events with representatives from Trekstock within our branches in order to further raise money for this excellent cause. This partnership will last throughout the whole of 2016 and we are hoping at the end of that to be able to provide a large donation to Trekstock.

Although only a young charity, Trekstock is already supported by internationally renowned musician and Patron Mark Ronson and even has One Direction’s Harry Styles and Liam Payne as its Ambassadors – so we are absolutely delighted to be working alongside such renowned individuals!
