Filmore & Union launches new ‘feel good’ kids’ menuDecember 12, 2017 10:57 am
Filmore & Union, the Yorkshire-born ‘feel good’ chain of restaurants and take-out delis, has launched a new junior menu to meet the demand for a wider variety of healthy, wholesome, delicious kids’ food on local high streets.
The new menu, which is available at Filmore & Union’s restaurants in Harrogate, York, Wetherby, Ilkley, Skipton, Beverley, Redrick Mill (in Batley), and Moortown, has been created by the company’s development chefs to help parents offer their children new and exciting healthy options when eating out.
It features a ‘build your own pizza’ made on a spinach wrap base with a choice of toppings including broccoli, feta, chicken, sausage, and red peppers. Snacks include sweet potato wedges and a fruit plate, and there are lots of yummy sweet options that are handmade with natural ingredients and include no refined sugar including Filmore’s famous chocolate brownie and a chocolate peanut butter and banana pizza!
As with all of Filmore & Union’s food and drink, there are plenty of options for those with special dietary requirements including gluten free and dairy free dishes, and everything on the menu can be adapted for those with allergies or other requirements.
Filmore & Union’s founder and owner Adele Ashley said: “As a mother of three, I’ve been there and I know how hard it is when eating out to find something on the menu that your kids will enjoy but is also healthy and wholesome with no added nasties. We’ve always had a junior menu, which is very popular in some of our restaurants, but we decided that it was time to take it to the next level and add some exciting new child-friendly flavour combinations. It’s so important to set healthy eating habits from a young age and making sure that your kids can enjoy delicious food that appeals to them (but also just happens to be good for them) is the best way to go.”
