INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY: 21ST JUNE

June 18, 2015 5:47 pm

It’s International Yoga Day this Sunday and in celebration of this annual day of spirituality, we’ve teamed up with Sweaty Betty who have organised a free day of yoga! Great for beginners or regulars, the workshop will be held at their store in Leeds’ Victoria Quarter from 11am, followed by complimentary juices from us and you’ll also have the opportunity to get pampered by expert therapists from Neal’s Yard.

It’s completely free but you’ve got to book in advance though so hurry and book here before all the places are gone – click here to book your place!

WHY TRY YOGA? HERE ARE JUST THE TOP FIVE BENEFITS:

1. Improves flexibility and posture – yoga can drastically improve your muscle balance, physical strength and overall physique. It’s a great way to stay in shape and relax your mind at the same time!

2. Reduces stress and anxiety – workload getting on top of you? Like meditation, yoga releases your everyday stresses and helps you to take control of your life. Practice on a morning to start you off for a calm day ahead or if you’re feeling drained after a long day at the office, take time out to relax with a soothing yoga session.

3.Improves heart health – combined with foods high in Omega-3 like oily fish and flaxseed, yoga can help reduce high blood pressure and strengthen your heart.

4. Inner peace and happiness – regain the calm in your life through yoga and benefit from greater inner peace and balance between your work and personal life. It has even been known to help towards improving relationships as well as overall life balance and energy. Overall, it just makes your feel better!

5. Better focus – by clearing your mind, you can improve your concentration. A clearer state of mind means increased awareness, which in turn leads to better decisions and reduced anxiety.
