IT’S EASTER ALREADY?! HERE’S HOW TO REMAIN MORE PRESENT… {BY TRISH NUGENT}

Hello again from the Mindful Hub!
Just like you, I expect, I feel this year is slipping away. Is it really Easter already?!
It’s not easy to keep up and remain present, so I’d like to share with you some little pearls of mindful wisdom to keep you on track:
1. Get curious. Approach everyday things with a beginners mind. We notice more this way and little things become objects of pleasure. You will get more out of a day without rushing about.
2.  Forgive mistakes. Finding peace with imperfections is one way to spend time wisely.
3.  Show gratitude. Savour the good things. Enjoy what you have.
4.  Foster compassion to yourself and to others. Being kind brings joy and value to others.
5. Accept change. All things come and go. It’s ok in the moment because soon there is another!
6. Slow down! Busy isn’t to be applauded if it’s not valuable to your wellbeing.


 

MINI BREATH MEDITATION

Sit comfortably with your back straight. Take a deep breath and let
it go. Begin to silently count at the end of each out breath: Inhale…
exhale… count one, inhale… exhale… two, inhale… exhale… three. Then
start at one again. Just three breaths and back to one. Simply following each
breath in and silently counting. So simple. Do this as many times as you want,
eyes open or closed, breathing normally.
