The temperature’s dropping and we need to boost our intake of vitamin-rich foods more than ever! Keep the winter chills at bay with our recommended fruit and vegetables for December which we’ve included in our final smoothie, juice and salad for 2015!
Antioxidant-rich artichokes are loaded with digestion-aiding dietary fibre and cholesterol-lowering vitamins. Deliciously sweet and festive, clementines are a fantastic source of vitamin C – great for boosting your health during the chilly winter ahead. Finally, that vegetable dreaded by many – sprouts are super high in anti-cancer glucosinolates, as well as blood-cleansing minerals and antioxidants for improving skin condition.

Juice of the month – clementine, apple, lemon and ginger
The clementine and lemon have antibacterial properties for keeping you healthy over the chilly month ahead and of course are packed with vitamin C. The ginger fights inflammation, keeping colds, flu and winter headaches at bay.
Smoothie of the month – redcurrants, cranberries, blueberries, banana, coconut milk, maple syrup and vanilla
With festive cranberries and redcurrants, it’s packed with antioxidants and antibacterial properties, great for gum health. The creamy coconut milk is full of healthy fats which also posses antibacterial properties – great for a winter health boost!
Salad of the month – Jerusalem artichoke, Brussels sprout and cranberry with orange and maple dressing
This month’s seasonal salad is loaded with green goodness and festive flavour, including iron-rich spinach and antioxidant-packed cranberries, scattered with crunchy pumpkin seeds and our naturally sweet dressing.
