RECIPE OF THE WEEK: APPLE AND SPINACH DETOX JUICE

Packed with green goodness, this week’s recipe is for a rejuvenating and refreshing juice, perfect for a mid-morning snack or for drinking alongside a meal. It’s pumped with iron, calcium and vitamin C and is so simple, brimming with essential vitamins and minerals for improving heart health, lowering blood pressure and aiding digestion. The perfect pick-me-up for a hot summers day, it’s not only loaded with health-boosting goodness, this ultra-hydrating blend of fruit and vegetables tastes great too.

 


 

INGREDIENTS:

1 stalk of celery
2 apples
half a cucumber
small piece of fresh ginger
juice of half a lime
large handful of spinach

 


 

METHOD:

1. Peel and core the apples and peel the ginger, then chop everything up into large chunks.

2. Place everything into a blender and blitz until smooth (it also works great with a hand-held blender).

3. Pour into a glass, add ice and a straw and enjoy – a perfect summer drink, great alongside a fresh salad or your favourite summer berries to boost your vitamin intake.
