Filmore & Union secures £3.5m investment to aid UK expansion

September 4, 2017 7:33 pm

We announced in yesterday’s Sunday Times and Yorkshire Post that Filmore & Union has secured a £3.5m investment from Business Growth Fund (BGF).

The cash will be used to fund our expansion across the North of England and Midlands, building on our existing 14 sites across Yorkshire including the most recent additions at John Lewis in York and our Wetherby takeaway.

BGF is one of the UK’s biggest investors in small and mid-sized businesses (including Bar Soba, Barburrito and Giggling Squid) and experienced entrepreneur Kevin Bacon will join Filmore & Union as non-executive chairman.

This is a very exciting time for us and we believe there is a very clear market opportunity to expand the Filmore & Union portfolio across the UK. We have built a loyal customer base who feel an affinity to the brand and share our passion for eating well and we aim to retain the original ‘independent’ ethos that the company was built on as we grow. We chose BGF as an investor because they take a long term, organic approach to business growth.

We can’t say much more yet apart from watch this space!!!!!!!!!!
